The B2000 ute arrived at our workshop stock, and we worked closely with the owner to create a tidy, high-performance street cruiser. A full respray by BM Automotive Refinishing gave the ute a flawless finish before the conversion work began.
Under the hood, it now runs a Sprint RE 13B Bridgeport engine with EFI Hardware injection, controlled by a Link Monsoon ECU. A Link 5-inch Strada dash provides the driver with all essential data. A custom fuel system, complete with a new level sender, ensures accurate fuel display, while all fluid lines were replaced with Motorsport Plumbing Supplies NZ components.
The suspension and underbody were fully stripped, blasted, and painted. A complete RX-8 brake upgrade and a set of Ohlins from Heads Racing Supplies were installed to finish the handling package. As always, the ute received a full detail and ceramic coating by Cutting Edge Detail, leaving it looking immaculate.
This project was a pleasure to complete, and it was awesome to see it head home to Wellington for its maiden voyage.
